| dc.description | Actinomycetes present particular characteristics such as a typical smell of moist soil due to the production of a metabolite called geosmin and other metabolites that inhibit the growth of pathogens in plants. The objective of this study was to identify rhizospheric actinomycetes with antagonist activity against Phytophthora palmivora. Actinomycetes were isolated from soil samples of cocoa, avocado and guaba crops collected in areas of Esmeraldas, Los Ríos and Guayas, Ecuador. | |

El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar actinomicetos rizosféricos con actividad antagonista a Phytophthora palmivora. Se aislaron actinomicetos de muestras de suelo de cultivos de cacao, aguacate y guaba colectados en zonas de Esmeraldas, Los Ríos y Guayas, Ecuador. | |
