| dc.description | The cultivation of creole melon is very important in the rural areas of the Ecuadorian coast. This research was carried out in the climatic and edaphic conditions of the San Carlos parish of the Quevedo canton. The objectives were to evaluate three types of organic fertilizers in relation to the production and fruit quality of the Cantaloupe de Tajada melon crop. The influence of organic fertilizers on the taste of the fruit was also evaluated and the productivity of the crop was determined. | |

Esta investigación se llevó a cabo en las condiciones climáticas y edáficas de la parroquia San Carlos del cantón Quevedo. Los objetivos planteados consistieron en evaluar tres tipos de abonos orgánicos en relación con la producción y calidad del fruto del cultivo de melón criollo Cantalupo de Tajada. También se valoró la influencia de los abonos orgánicos en el sabor de los frutos y determinó la productividad del cultivo. | |
