| dc.description | This research project carried out the determination of the quality of the carcass of Pic pigs (Cambrou x Pic 337) without sexing on Immunocastration Protocols. which are based on surgical castration and Immunocastration (Ceva valora and Innosure) and are intended to inhibit the boar taint of meat produced by the hormones skatole and androsterone. According to the experimental design, a sample of 60 specimens was considered at 165 days, the weight was taken and the transfer and slaughter were carried out in the Portoviejo slaughterhouse following the indicators of animal welfare, for measurement of the variables carcass weight, yield at carcass, back fat thickness. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Este proyecto de investigación llevó a cabo la determinación de la calidad de la canal de cerdos Pic (Cambrou x Pic 337) sin sexar sobre Protocolos de Inmunocastración, los cuales se basan en la castración quirúrgica e Inmunocastración (Ceva valora e Innosure) y tienen como finalidad inhibir el olor sexual de la carne producidos por las hormonas escatol y androsterona. Según el diseño experimental se consideró una muestra de 60 ejemplares a los 165 días se tomó el peso y se realizó el traslado y faenamiento en el camal de Portoviejo siguiendo los indicadores de bienestar animal, para medición de las variables peso a la canal, rendimiento a la canal, espesor de grasa dorsal. | |
