| dc.description | Logistics and transportation management are fundamental for the sustainable development of a city, as in the case of the Quevedo canton. This research aimed to analyze such management in this context. A mobility diagnosis was conducted, examining roads and transit points, along with monitoring traffic on two main streets for a week. Additionally, a survey was administered to understand public perception of the management system. The results revealed that, despite having 190 urban transport units, the service is perceived as inadequate due to deficiencies in the units, lack of cleanliness, and inadequate lighting. Security issues were also identified, with 78% of respondents reporting robberies on buses. Regarding environmental and social impact, from the literature review of various authors, it was observed that noise levels in the city exceed legal limits, and there was a lack of coordination between institutions responsible for controlling CO2 emissions and noise. Therefore, better coordination among these involved institutions is recommended to address these issues, in line with the responsibilities established in the COOTAD and the Environmental Code, to mitigate the environmental and social impact of logistics and transportation management in Quevedo. | |
| dc.description.abstract | La gestión logística y de transporte es fundamental para el desarrollo sostenible de una ciudad, como en el caso del cantón Quevedo. Esta investigación buscó analizar dicha gestión en este contexto. Se realizó un diagnóstico de movilidad, examinando vías y puntos de tránsito, junto con un monitoreo del tráfico en dos calles principales durante una semana. Además, se aplicó una encuesta para entender la percepción ciudadana del sistema de gestión. Los resultados revelaron que, a pesar de contar con 190 unidades de transporte urbano, el servicio se percibe como insuficiente debido a deficiencias en las unidades, falta de limpieza e iluminación inadecuada. También se identificaron problemas de seguridad, con el 78% de los encuestados reportando robos en los autobuses. Con relación al impacto ambiental y social, de la revisión bibliográfica de varios autores, se observó que los niveles de ruido en la ciudad superan los límites legales, y se observó la falta de coordinación entre las instituciones responsables de controlar emisiones de CO2 y ruido. Por lo cual se recomienda una mejor coordinación entre estas instituciones involucradas del tratamiento de estos temas, en línea con las responsabilidades establecidas en el COOTAD y el Código Ambiental, para mitigar el impacto ambiental y social de la gestión logística y de transporte en Quevedo | |
