| dc.description | The research project focuses on determining the impact of road infrastructure on the socioeconomic and territorial development of the canton of Quinsaloma, in the province of Los Ríos. Given that it is an agricultural and commercial canton, roads are key to generating growth and better living conditions for the population. The study makes a diagnosis of road infrastructure and socioeconomic conditions, identifying mobility limitations in order to propose strategies to optimize transportation and facilitate access to basic services. The research has a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach, is carried out in the territory and is descriptive and analytical in nature. The techniques employed for the collection of information include observation and the use of instruments such as interviews and surveys. The surveys and on-site visits allowed identifying the current state of the canton's road infrastructure, finding that more than a third of those surveyed stated that the roads are not in adequate conditions for mobilization. Seventy percent consider that external investment has been affected by the difficulty of accessing certain sectors of the rural area where there is a lack of drainage ditches, culverts, ballasted roads and roads in poor condition that make it difficult to move production in these sectors. It is proposed as a strategy to increase the frequency of monitoring and follow-up on the condition of roads that present special conditions in order to improve them. | |
| dc.description.abstract | El proyecto de investigación se enfoca en determinar la incidencia que tiene la infraestructura vial en el desarrollo socioeconómico y territorial del cantón Quinsaloma, en la provincia de Los Ríos. Dado que es un cantón agrícola y comercial, la vialidad es clave para generar crecimiento y mejores condiciones de vida para la población. El estudio elabora un diagnóstico de la infraestructura vial y las condiciones socioeconómicas, identificando limitaciones de movilidad para proponer estrategias que optimicen el transporte y faciliten el acceso a servicios básicos. La investigación tiene un enfoque mixto cuantitativo y cualitativo, se lleva a cabo en territorio y tiene un carácter descriptivo y analítico. Las técnicas empleadas para la recopilación de información incluyen la observación y uso de instrumentos como las entrevistas y encuestas. Las encuestas y recorrido In Situ, permitieron identificar el estado actual de la infraestructura vial del cantón, encontrándose que más de un tercio de los encuestados expresaron que las vías no se encuentran en condiciones adecuadas para la movilización. El 70% de ellos consideran que la inversión externa se ha visto afectada por la dificultad de acceder a ciertos sectores de la zona rural donde se constató la ausencia de cunetas de desagüe alcantarillas, vías lastradas en mal estado que dificultan el traslado de la producción en estos sectores. Se propone como estrategia aumentar la frecuencia de monitoreo y seguimiento al estado de vías que presenten condiciones especiales para mejorarlas. | |
