| dc.description | This is a clinical case study of a patient who underwent a subtotal hysterectomy following an emergency cesarean section. The main objective of this research was to apply nursing care to a patient with a subtotal hysterectomy, improving her well-being and health status, considering both the physiological and emotional needs that arise after a major gynecological surgical procedure. The methodology used was based on a comprehensive assessment using Marjory Gordon's functional patterns, a tool that allowed for the identification of alterations in several areas: perception-health management pattern, nutritional-metabolic pattern, elimination pattern, cognitive-perceptual pattern, and stress tolerance adaptation pattern. Based on these, actions were planned using the NANDA and NIC taxonomies, NOC, and NIC taxonomies, which ensured a systematic and evidence-based approach. Care focused on pain management and control, circulating volume stability through strict fluid balance control, infection prevention through aseptic and antiseptic measures, psycho-emotional support to reduce anxiety and fear, as well as nutritional guidance aimed at promoting healing and recovery of the body. During her hospital stay, the patient showed favorable postoperative progress, with adequate healing of the surgical wound and progressive improvement in her general condition, thus yielding satisfactory results for her proper recovery. The case study highlights the importance of the role of nursing in the postoperative management of subtotal hysterectomy, emphasizing the need to provide humanized care, continuous assessment, and personalized strategies that promote not only physical recovery but also the emotional and social well-being of the patient. Health education and emotional support are key components in the adaptation process, strengthening the patient's autonomy and contributing to a comprehensive recovery. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Se presenta el estudio de caso clínico de una paciente que fue sometida a una histerectomía subtotal posterior a una cesárea de emergencia, el objetivo principal de esta investigación fue aplicar cuidados de enfermería en una paciente con histerectomía subtotal, mejorando su bienestar y estado de salud, considerando tanto las necesidades fisiológicas como emocionales, que surgen tras un procedimiento quirúrgico mayor de carácter ginecológico, la metodología empleada se basó en la valoración integral utilizando los patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon, herramienta que permitió identificar alteraciones en varios ámbitos: patrón percepción – manejo de salud, patrón nutricional – metabólico, patrón de eliminación, patrón cognitivo-perceptivo, patrón adaptación tolerancia al estrés, a partir de ellos, se planificaron acciones basadas en las taxonomías NANDA, NOC Y NIC, lo que garantizó un abordaje sistemático y basado en evidencias, los cuidados se enfocaron en el manejo y control del dolor, la estabilidad del volumen circulante mediante un estricto control del balance hídrico, la prevención de infecciones a través de medidas de asepsia y antisepsia, el acompañamiento psicoemocional para disminuir la ansiedad y el miedo, así como la orientación nutricional, dirigida a favorecer la cicatrización y la recuperación del organismo, durante su estancia hospitalaria, la paciente mostró una evolución postoperatoria favorable, con adecuada cicatrización de la herida quirúrgica y mejoría progresiva de su estado general, dando así resultados satisfactorios para su debida recuperación, el estudio de caso resalta la importancia del rol de enfermería en el manejo postoperatorio de la histerectomía subtotal, destacando la necesidad de brindar cuidados humanizados, una evaluación continua y estrategias personalizadas que promuevan no solo la recuperación física, sino también el bienestar emocional y social de la paciente, la educación sanitaria y el apoyo emocional como componentes clave en el proceso de adaptación, fortaleciendo la autonomía de la paciente y contribuyendo a una recuperación integral. | |
