| dc.description | Bananas are the most cultivated fruit worldwide, ranking fourth after wheat, rice, and corn, and are a fundamental part of the economy of exporting countries. The presence of diseases such as Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense race 1 (Foc R1) affects banana plantations causing a negative impact on production and in some cases on the quality of fruit, Foc R1 is the causal agent of vascular diseases and stem rot in many crops in Ecuador. | |

La presencia de enfermedades como Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense raza 1 (Foc R1) afecta a plantaciones de banano provocando un impacto negativo en la producción y en algunos casos en la calidad de fruta, Foc R1 es el agente causal de enfermedades vasculares y pudrición de tallo en muchos cultivos de Ecuador. | |
