dc.descriptionHypothyroidism and gestational diabetes are two conditions that lead to complications during pregnancy. They can cause miscarriages, hemorrhages, preeclampsia, preterm birth, and fetal death, as well as neurodevelopmental problems, fetal macrosomia, and a risk of future obesity. It is important to note that these conditions, when properly managed, reduce the risk of these complications, highlighting the importance of timely intervention. Therefore, the overall objective of this study was to analyze the nursing care provided to high-risk pregnant patients with hypothyroidism and gestational diabetes, thereby identifying patient needs and specific interventions. A thorough retrospective review of the patient's medical history was conducted, assessing the patient using Marjory Gordon's functional patterns. Three nursing diagnoses were proposed: obesity, constipation, and ineffective health management, with their respective personalized nursing interventions for the management of hypothyroidism and gestational diabetes. It should be noted that prevention will always be the best option to reduce these conditions.
dc.description.abstractEl hipotiroidismo y la diabetes gestacional son dos patologías que conllevan a complicaciones durante la gestación, debido a que esta puede ocasionar en la gestante abortos, hemorragias, preeclampsia, parto pretérmino, y en el feto muerte intrauterina, problemas en el desarrollo neurológico, macrosomía fetal, y riesgo de obesidad a futuro. Es importante mencionar que estas patologías con el manejo adecuado reducen el riesgo de estas complicaciones, lo que resalta la importancia de intervenir a tiempo. Por lo cual, el objetivo general de este estudio fue analizar los cuidados de enfermería proporcionados en paciente gestante de alto riesgo por hipotiroidismo y diabetes gestacional, identificando así las necesidades de la paciente e intervenciones específicas. Se realizó una revisión minuciosa de manera retrospectiva la historia clínica, valorando por medio de los patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon. Se propusieron tres diagnósticos de enfermería: Obesidad, estreñimiento y manejo ineficaz de la salud con sus respectivas intervenciones de enfermería personalizados en el manejo de hipotiroidismo y diabetes gestacional. Se debe destacar que la prevención siempre será la mejor opción para reducir estas condiciones.
