| dc.description | The investigation was carried out in the “Murucumba” Campus on the farm of Mr. Cevallos Falquez Orly Fernando, located on the Vía Guayas dam El Limón, province of Manabí. And its objective was to evaluate the levels of bovine blood meal in the diet of pigs in the fattening phase. For them, a completely block design was used with four treatments (T1. Control 0%, T2. Bovine blood meal 5%, T3. Bovine blood meal 10%, T4. Bovine blood meal 15%) and four repetitions, each repetition composed of 4 experimental units (pigs). For its evaluation, an analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out and the Tukey test (p≤ 5%) was used to compare the averages obtained for each treatment. The variables evaluated were: Fattening weight at 101 days of age (kg), weight (kg) from 101 to 114 days of age, weight (kg) from 115 to 128 days of age, monthly weight, feed conversion, economic analysis. In relation, it was observed that bovine blood meal added to the commercial feed provided favorable effects on production, thus providing new resources for the pig farmer by increasing adequate weights and achieving effective feed conversions. Based on these results we can recommend the addition of 15% (T4) which obtained an average final weight of 90 kg. The benefit-cost analysis determined that the best profitability in the treatments fed with bovine blood meal added to the commercial feed is for the T4 treatment, with 15% where a cost benefit of $1.70 was obtained, which indicates that for every dollar invested a profitability of 0.70 ctvs is obtained | |
| dc.description.abstract | La investigación se efectúo en el Recinto “Murucumba” en la finca del Ing. Cevallos Falquez Orly Fernando, ubicado en la Vía Guayas represa el Limón, provincia de Manabí. Y tuvo por objetivo evaluar los niveles de harina de sangre bovina en la dieta de cerdos en la fase de engorde. Para ellos, se empleó un diseño de bloques completamente al con cuatro tratamientos (T1. Testigo 0%, T2. Harina de sangre bovina 5%, T3. Harina de sangre bovina 10%, T4. Harina de sangre bovina 15%) y cuatro repeticiones, cada repetición compuesta de 4 unidades experimentales (cerdos). Para su evaluación se realizó un análisis de la varianza (ANOVA) y se empleó la prueba de Tukey (p≤ 5%) para comparar los promedios obtenidos por cada tratamiento. Las variables evaluadas fueron: Peso de engorde a los 101 días de edad (kg), peso (kg) de los 101 a 114 días de edad, peso (kg) desde los 115 a 128 días de edad, peso mensual, conversión alimenticia, análisis económico. En relación se pudo observar que la harina de sangre bovina adicionada al balanceado comercial aportó efectos favorables en la producción, brindando así nuevos recursos para el porcicultor por el incremento pesos adecuados y alcanzando conversiones alimenticias eficaces. En base a estos resultados podemos recomendar el adicionamiento del 15% (T4) la cual obtuvo un peso final promedio de 90 kg. El análisis beneficio costo se determina que la mejor rentabilidad en los tratamientos alimentados con harina de sangre bovina adicionada al balanceado comercial es para el tratamiento T4, con el 15% donde se obtuvo un beneficio costo de $1.70, lo cual indica que por cada dólar invertido se obtiene una rentabilidad de 0.70 ctvs. | |
