Abstract
El plástico es el material con mayor presencia actual en el mercado por los amplios beneficios que ofrece a las industrias como su adaptabilidad, bajo costo y durabilidad. Sin embargo, en su mayoría no se vuelven a utilizar, además, el reciclaje tiene altos costos si se los compara con aquellos productos que se degradan en menor tiempo. En Ecuador, las empresas que están optando por trabajar con materiales biodegradables son escazas, las iniciativas más considerables son de origen extranjero. Por ello, se busca ofrecer un planteamiento para sumar a esta iniciativa global, sin perjudicar el factor financiero. Es importante que las empresas ecuatorianas contemplen la viabilidad de productos biodegradables.
Description
Plastic is the material with the greatest current presence in the market due to the wide range of benefits it offers to industries, such as its adaptability, low cost and durability. However, most of them are not reused, and recycling has high costs compared to products that degrade in less time. In Ecuador, the companies that are opting to work with biodegradable materials are scarce; the most significant initiatives are of foreign origin. Therefore, we seek to offer an approach to add to this global initiative, without harming the financial factor. It is important that Ecuadorian companies contemplate the viability of biodegradable products.
