    El papel de la familia en el desarrollo y bienestar del niño con sindrome de down

    This research addressed the role of the family in the development and well-being of a child with Down syndrome, with the aim of understanding how family dynamics influence their emotional, social and cognitive growth. A qualitative approach was used, using techniques such as semi-structured interviews with parents and direct observation in the family environment, the sample consisted of a single family, which allowed an in-depth analysis of their experiences and support strategies during data collection, recurrent patterns related to the importance of emotional support were identified, early stimulation and the integration of the child in daily activities the results showed that parents played an essential role in promoting the child's autonomy and self-esteem, adapting their educational and social approaches to their specific needs. In addition, it was evident that the family became a fundamental pillar for well-being However, challenges were also observed, such as the lack of resources and specialized support, which made it difficult to implement more effective intervention strategies the study underlined that the family environment plays a decisive role in the well-being of children with Down syndrome, Highlighting the need for greater training of parents and access to adequate resources to enhance their development, collaboration with professionals and the community was also key to facing the challenges that arise in the parenting process.
